Lanhydrock Cycle Hub is an exciting new mountain bike centre that opened for business on the 15th February 2014! There are 10km of green and blue graded MTB trails, a skills area, a balance track, a cafe, car park and bike hire. The Lanhydrock trails are located just north of the Lanhydrock estate near Bodmin, Cornwall in South West England. They are targeted at families and novices.
Cardinham Woods in Bodmin is the Forestry Commission’s premiere recreation site. Situated in the breathtaking valley of the Cardinham Water river, it contains trails suitable for riders of all cycling abilities.
There are several miles of gravel tracks (‘forest roads’) meandering through the woods and alongside the river. Cyclists are welcome to explore these routes, and share them with the many walkers, families, dog walkers, and horse riders who also enjoy the woods.
The Camel Trail is a 17 mile route based on an historic railway track. The Padstow to Wadebridge line was opened in 1899 providing access from Waterloo via Okehampton and Launceston, but the section from Wadebridge to Poley’s Bridge is one of the oldest in the world and was opened in 1834.
